March with the Richmond Progressive Alliance in the Cinco de Mayo Parade
Let’s have some fun on Cinco de Mayo and bring our RPA solidarity to the Latino community. This is an invitation to ALL MEMBERS of the RPA to march together on this special Cinco de Mayo celebration, held in Richmond on Saturday, May 6th. We will march behind an RPA sign reading:
RICHMOND SAYS NO TO TRUMP
Bring your own individual signs and messages of love and embrace to immigrants and the Latino community!
Bring your RPA t-shirts!
Please don’t throw candy at people. Bring flowers if you want to give something away!
Details: On Saturday May 6th gather between 9 and 10 am at the parking lot between Barrett Ave and Nevin Ave, and between 24th and 25th streets. The parade kicks off on Barrett Avenue in Richmond at 10 am. The parade follows along the 23rd street route. The parade ends at the St. Paul’s schoolyard located at 1825 Church Lane in San Pablo.
Other Local Cinco de Mayo Events: On Saturday May 6, a family festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the St. Paul’s schoolyard located at 1825 Church Lane in San Pablo. On Sunday May 7th, the 23rd Street Merchant's Association will host their annual street festival.
