Marisol Cantú, a proud queer Xicana and third-generation Richmond resident on Ohlone Land, is a femme educator, activist, community organizer, and radical thinker in the Bay Area. Trained as a social worker, she later earned her Master's in Applied Linguistics with a focus on multicultural/bilingual education from Columbia University.
Currently, Marisol is an English as a Second Language (ESL) Professor at Contra Costa College. Her organizing work primarily intertwines racial, social, and environmental justice, building people-powered campaigns, strengthening community and academic partnerships, and advocating for policies that bring systemic change.
