Taste of Richmond
Eat Local, Love Richmond, October 7-13
Learn about this year’s Taste of Richmond which has been newly configured for 2024. This event is a showcase of Richmond’s Economic Development Commission — formerly a one-day gathering, now evolving into a Restaurant Week. We aim to celebrate Richmond’s growing culinary scene, support local businesses, and bring our community together through the enjoyment of food.
We will also introduce Richmond’s Food Ware Ordinance and update folks on recycling efforts advanced by our city. The ordinance is intended to keep polystyrene foam and small plastics out of our streets, storm drains, and bodies of water. This program aligns with Richmond’s Climate Action Plan goal to reduce waste and support recycling and composting efforts.
Come to our roundtable discussion to learn about both of these issues. We also want to hear your ideas for supporting small restaurants, and other ways to build community through environmental efforts.
Join the conversation and bring your ideas to our table.
